DESCRIPTION

Textile work combining India Ink, Hand-Painted Interventions and Hand Distressed Finishing. Featuring Friedrich Nietzsche’s concept of décadence, the composition draws on his understanding of decadence as a condition of exhaustion and declining vital force, where instinct loses its unity and turns against life itself. Applied by hand through a stencil, the word becomes part of a surface marked by chemical aging, rupture and paint. Built through successive chemical aging processes and manual interventions, the surface continues to evolve through wear and washing.
